This traditional hymn starts with the full ensemble introduction in the key of Bb. The clarinets are featured in the melody with an open fifth "drone-like" accompaniment. The brass repeat the exact opening phrase before the clarinets end this section with a fermata. The waltz section lets the woodwinds shine in the new key of F before the low brass and low woodwinds take over the melody. Along with the key change, the meter also changes to 4/4. This is followed by the full ensemble building to a glorious ending.
