This song utilizes a typical fiddle-tune melody with lots of stylistic markings to make it come to life. The "Hilarity" part comes from the sudden dynamic changes, tricky rest patterns in the accompaniment parts, and rhythmical twists with the melodic line. Every section in the band gets a turn with the melody. It of course ends with the popular "shave and a haircut" motif, but watch out for the rest traps. A fun tune!
