The title of this piece is unique and reflects the actually time of night that the piece was composed. My wife, a junior high band director, stated that her band was having difficulties modulating from the key of Eb to F. She asked me to write a piece that would include this specific key change. I began writing this piece at eleven o'clock in the evening! After a tutti introduction, there is a short percussion break before the main theme is introduced by the upper woodwinds and trumpets. This is followed by a relative minor section which utilizes a few accidentals. Next, it modulates into the key of F using the same melodies heard in the beginning section.
